LeRoy W. Rorick, 75, of Big Spring, Texas, died on Thursday, August 7, 2003, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Elwin Collom, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery Coahoma. He was born on November 25, 1927, in Grand Rapids, Ohio and married Melba Jean Woods on March 8, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas, she preceded him in death on July 10, 2003. Mr. Rorick served in the Merchant Marines at the age of 13, and then joined the United States Air Force serving for over 27 years, retiring as a Senior Master Sargeant at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring on February 28, 1973. After retiring from the Air Force he worked at Webb in the Civil Service until the base closed. He then drove for Steer Tank Lines and later Trailways Bus Company until he retired. He and his late wife also owned and operated R & R Pool Service in Coahoma for 15 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, member of the Suez Shrine in San Angelo and active in the Fire Brigade in the Big Spring Shrine Club. Survivors include two sons, Michiel K. Rorick of Weimer, Texas and Billy D. Rorick of Coahoma, two daughters, Patricia Wood of Houston, Texas and Sharon E. Dockrey of Colorado City, Texas, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and one brother, Kirk Rorick, Jr. of Phoenix. AZ.
