Leonard C. Laskowski, 60, died suddenly Friday, March 28, 2003.Leonard C. Laskowski was born June 30, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physics at St. Mary's College in Winona, MN and finished his doctorate at Oklahoma State University in 1972. He traveled the world doing what he enjoyed best, being a petrophysicist. His travels took him to Cairo, Tunisia, Sudan, London, Aberdeen, Mexico, and Venezuela, amongst others. He enjoyed his golf game, camping, hiking, reading about history, and being Grampa Len. He came to Midland in 1995.A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at St. Ann's Church with Father Arturo Pestin officiating.Survived by his wife of 37 years Mary Bodensteiner, three sons; Joe and his wife Xandra of Newport Coast, California, Mark of Spring, Texas, and John and his wife Robin of The Woodlands, Texas, one daughter; Lisa and her husband Barry Weber of Houston, Texas, his mother; Antonette Laskowski of Chicago, Illinois, his sister; Roberta Achtermeier of Coventry, Rhode Island. He leaves behind five grandchildren; Jacquelyn (13), Gregory (10), Lucie Marie (4), Mary Elizabeth (3 1/2), and Lacey Ann (10 months); twenty two brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Laskowski.The family suggests memorials to Habitat for Humanity in the city of your choice.
