Leland Clifton Pierce

Leland Clifton Pierce, 97, passed away peacefully at his residence August 18, 2023. He was born in Spur, Texas June 8, 1926 and was a longtime resident of Big Spring. Leland was drafted by the military during World War II and served his country in the Navy before his honorable discharge June 6, 1946…he was a true patriot. After his military career, Leland was an employee and manager for White’s Retail Stores for many years before becoming a successful businessman. He owned and operated Lee’s Rental for multiple decades before retiring in 2005.

Mr. Pierce had a heart of gold and cared deeply for his family and friends and showed his affection for those who were in need of a little guidance…he will be missed.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Monday, August 21, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
