LaVeta Burr, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023. She battled Lewy’s Body Dementia since 2017. LaVeta was born in Enid, Oklahoma on May 14, 1952, to Louie and Dorothy Kroeger. She grew up in Covington, OK, San Angelo, TX and Crane, TX. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Burr on September 16, 1972, in Crane, TX. LaVeta was a member of the Midland Symphony Guild and Midland Junior League. LaVeta was a loving wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and friend. LaVeta will be missed by many but will best be remembered by her giving heart, full of love which touched everyone around her. She spent many years devoting her time to taking care of her family as well as making sure they were leading a Christian lifestyle. She loved all her fur babies the family was blessed to have over the years.
LaVeta was preceded in death by both parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Merle and Lawson Burr. She is survived by her husband Jim Burr and her daughters, Lyndsi Clark and Lauren Burr, her son-in-law Casey Clark, two grandsons Jackson and Colton Clark, her sister Luana Alexander and two nieces Kobi Cook and Kindra Poage (and their families).
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
