Laverne H. Tilley, 86, of Big Spring, died Friday, October 30, 2015 in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Jim Binix. pastor of Midway Baptist Church, officiating.She was born January 26, 1929 in Young County, Texas and married Thomas A. Tilley July 2, 1956 in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death November 27, 1988.Laverne was a homemaker and a member of Midway Baptist Church.Survivors include two sons, William Grambling and Tommy Tilley and wife, Saletta; two sisters,Judy Irwin and husband, Ronnie, and Trudy Sherrill all of Big Spring; two sisters, Junell Coleman of Sterling City and Bobbie Van Rosenberg of Midland; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.The family suggests memorials to North Shore Animal League at www.animalleague.org or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
