So sorry to hear of your loss. I have such wonderful memories of having Sunday Dinners at the Powell's house after church. What a wonderful christian lady. She treated me like I was her own.

Dear Billy, and all family members I received word about LaVerne's death from Aunt Billie Jean today. I'm the only one left in dad's(James E. Cook-Jimmy) branch of Grandpa Cook's family. One of the happiest blessings of my dad's life was to rediscover his father(Grandpa Cook) in 1943 and was even happier when he found out he also had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Through the years our bond with each of them grew stronger and we have great memories of wonderful visits with all of them. Please know that you are in our prayers and know that the Lord will comfort you all in this time of sorrow. I probably won't have many opprtunities to see you all personally in the future but take joy in times we've been with you in past years. Clyde Cook
