LaVerne was such a special cousin to me. When we were having our Montandon reunions, I always looked forward to her being there. Her love and sweetness will never be forgotten. I do miss the reunions so much because all of you are special to me. My brother/family and two sisters/family and our boys/familes will be together at our home this weekend, expecting 36 here. You are all in our prayers. All of you are such special relatives to me. Pat

Laverne was a special lady, always a gracious & giving person to all. I have fond memories of 4-H activites with Laverne as a child and then later on sharing fun as we both were board members/volunteers of the Howard Co. Fair. I have had good times with Laverne and I extend my deepest sympathy to Pat, Kelly, Kayla & Van and your families....she will be missed, but left lasting memories for all I am sure.

LaVerne was such a gracious lady always caring for others and always opening her lovely home for fellowship with friends near and far. During my mother's illness, the doorbell rang and there was LaVerne bringing a wonderful home cooked meal with all of the triimmings. I was so grateful since I had no time for shopping and I was too exhausted to cook. However, LaVerne always made me feel like it was her pleasure to allow her to visit bringing food and cheer. Truly a gracious lady that will be missed. Thanks to you, her family for sharing LaVerne, and may God bring you peace through out all the days of your life.

Dear Pat, Children & Grandchildren: We are so sorry to hear of LaVerne's passing and the end to such a courageous, generous and loving life. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with your all. We are absent today because Sue True has fallen and broken her arm in a compound fracture and must not take any chances of falling again. I am her caretaker today and we will be thinking of you all at this sad time. I know the Good Lord has already received LaVerne into the heavenly chorus of angels. Ann & Sue

I am so sorry to hear of Laverne's death. I have fond memories of playing with Kayla and spending the night. Our families were close and those bonds are precious to me. Laverne would drop by to see how we were doing after my mom died. I will always appreciate that. I am sorry that I can't be at the funeral. I am sick or I would be there. Just know that I am praying for you.

Pat, Kelly, Kayla, and Van---Heaven is truly blessed with LaVerne's presence. I know times will be lonely for you guys as she was a special lady, but thru God's presence you wil get thru this. Your whole family has always been such a cherished friendship in our family's lives. You are all thought off often. I am still using the graduation gift that Pat and Laverne gave to me for my high school graduation. Only LaVerne would have thought of such a useful and long lasting gift and I think of her each time that I use it! She has a special place in all of our hearts. May God comfort you all in your time of grieving.

Pat, Kelly, Kayla, Van and extended family: The Lord has gained a precious jewel in LaVerne. You are in our thoughts and prayers and due to a conflict of another funeral service here in the morning we will be unable to attend LaVerne's service. The following is from my great grandfather's prayer book , may the Lord soothe your aching hearts and give you peace. Love, Robbie and Champ O Lord our God, it has pleased Thee to make this house a house of mourning. Thou hast visited us, and taken away one from among us. We bow beneath Thy hand. We know that Thou dost not willingly afflict or grieve us. Teach us in this affliction to see our Father's hand. Bless to us this time of sorrow. While our hearts are sad, visit us with the consolations of Thy Spirit. Sanctify to us this time of seclusion. Give us serious thoughts, give us the spirit of prayer, give us comfort from above, and draw our hearts to Thee by Christ Jesus. Be Thou Thyself with us now; and in Thy presence may we find peace. Gracious Father, visit this house at this time with thy special grace. Let not this season pass away, and leave no good. Cause us hereafter to bless Thee for this stroke. Lead us even now to see that it is well, and never to doubt Thy wisdom or love. We too must die. Lord, make us ready. May each of us have a saving interest in Christ. May each of us be truly born again of the Spirit. Let not one of us put off the great concern. Quicken us all by this Thy dealing with us. We are one household here below; may none be wanting hereafter. Make us one now in Thee; and may we be one unbroken family in heaven. We ask all for Christ, our savior's sake. Amen.
