Latisha Wyvette Williams, 41, of Midland passed away on January 26, 2016. Viewing will be on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 8:00am-9:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Rodney Taylor giving the eulogy.Latisha was born on February 3, 1974 in Midland to Lorenzo Williams Sr. and Cathy Merritt Williams. She graduated with honors from Midland High School in 1992 and attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelors in finance in 1996. She was affiliated with the Texas A&M family, Midland College family, and her sorority Sigma Gamma Rho. She was also the Co-Founder of Making an Impact. Latisha was very sweet and was known by many as the most kind person you will ever meet. She was always involved in community events and affairs, she was a longtime member of Juneteenth Midland and Midland African American Roots Historical/Cultural Arts Council Inc. She was a true Aggie. Latisha was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ where she served as Bible teacher and Administrative assistant.Latisha always encouraged her brothers to push for higher goals and to never settle for anything less than their best. She was called “Tasha” by her parents. She would never complain about anything and would rather go broke before putting a burden on anyone. She helped countless numbers of people pursue and obtain college degrees. She was the best daughter any parent could ever hope for. She was our best friend, and she was Daddy’s hero.She is survived by her parents, Lorenzo and Cathy Williams; brothers, Lorenzo Jr. (Ellena) and Kelvin (Shauntell); nieces, Zamoria, Savanna, Zanobia, and Sophia; nephew, Kayden.She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mary Anderson (Charlie); her maternal grandparents, James and Shirley Mosley; and Ulysee Jones (Jean).The family would like to express their gratitude towards Sister 2 Sister, Midland College, and University Lands.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Making an Impact Inc.
