Larry Gene Stevens, 64, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Big Spring, died on Friday, June 22, 2007 after a short courageous battle with cancer, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday, June 30, 2007 from 1 PM to 3 PM at the funeral home. Private family services are set for a later date with the Rev. Lynn Robertson officiating.He was born on June 4, 1943, in Eunice, West Virginia.Larry worked as a painter for many years and had served in the United States Army based in Germany.Survivors include wife, Glenda Stevens of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his mother, Ruby Stevens of Big Spring; four brothers, William "Bill" Stevens , and wife Earla, of Phoenix, Arizona, Holbert G. Stevens, and wife Cindy, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, Johnny W. Stevens and wife Diane, of Chandler, Arizona, and Dannie E. Stevens and wife Robin, of Big Spring; one sister, Arlene Pineda, and husband Daril, of Big Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Holbert Stevens, and two nieces.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
