LaNell Parks, 66, of Big Spring, died on Friday, December 17, 2010, in an Odessa hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 20, 2010 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Clydel Chapman, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, Sunday, December 19, 2010, at the funeral home.She was born on November 8, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas and married Russell Parks on October 3, 1964 in Big Spring, Texas.LaNell was a lifelong resident of Big Spring. She worked at the Big Spring High School cafeteria for many years and had worked as a waitress at numerous restaurants in Big Spring. She was an avid bowler and NASCAR fan and loved attending her grandchildren's various activities.She was a Baptist.Survivors include her husband, Russell Parks of Big Spring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda and James Anderson of Cypress, and Veronica and Fred Schroyer of Stanton; one son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Lisa Parks of Big Spring; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie and Howard Shivers of Big Spring, Fredia and Clydel Chapman of Odessa and Peggy and Louis Pachall of Brownwood; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Travis and Shirley Hart of Midland, Cecil and LaRue Hart of Odessa, Clifford and Joetta Hart and Carl and Gwen Hart all of Big Spring; nine grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Philip Anderson, Calvin Anderson, Billy Joe Schroyer, Cole Schroyer, Kaitlyn Schroyer, Ransom Parks, Keelie Parks and Alexis Parks; and numerous nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Van Allen; and a granddaughter, Megan Shroyer.The family suggests memorials be made to to a favorite charity.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
