L.V. Welch II, 30, of Tarzan, Texas, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Leandro Gonzales, pastor of Lenorah Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.He was born on October 8, 1973, in Big Spring, Texas and was a lifetime resident of Tarzan.L. V. was a graduate of Grady High School where he was a member of the football, basketball and track teams and a member of the National Honor Society. He was an Eagle Scout. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews, was a loyal friend and was loved by all. L. V. enjoyed hunting but his number one priority was Bible study. He was a member of Lenorah Baptist Church.Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Welch of Tarzan; his father, Jerry Welch of Hobbs, New Mexico; his sister, Terri Killinen of Midland; his brother and sister-in-law, Scottie and Holli Welch of Colorado City; his grandparents, Floyd and Francis Martin of Tarzan and L. V. Welch of Midland; one niece, Bethany Killinen of Midland; two nephews, Peyton Welch and Jackson Welch both of Colorado City; one aunt, Belinda DeArman of Dallas; and two uncles, Mike Welch of Midland and Lonnie Martin of Tarzan. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Francis Welch; two uncles, Terry Welch and Larry Martin, and his brother-in-law. Charles Killinen.
