L.T. Hale, 94, of Midland, passed away July 4, 2018 in Big Spring, Texas. He was born May 14, 1924 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Mary and William Oscar Hale.He married Gladys Nell Bodiford on February 12, 1944.He served in the US Army. He was employed as a tractor mechanic, farmer, and rancher. He retired as a machine tool mechanic with Drilco Industrial. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching game shows.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys Hale; 2 sons, Eddie Bert Hale and Jimmy Ray Hale; and 18 of his 19 siblings.He is survived by children; Patsy Cook and her husband, Jim Cook, of Quemado, Texas, Bobby Hale and his wife, Frankie Hale, of Midland, Texas; 1 brother, Cecil Hale, of Colorado City; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and 4 on the way.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, Midland. A graveside service with US Army Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Serenity Memorial Gardens, Midland.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland.
