Kristen Alisha Graves, born on January 17, 1992, departed from us on April 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was more than a daughter and sister; she was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her. Kristen’s journey was marked by her unwavering battle with depression, a war she fought with courage and resilience until her untimely passing.

Though she may have lost the battle with her inner demons, Kristen’s spirit remains eternally alive in the hearts of those she touched. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle soul will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Kristen leaves behind her two beautiful godchildren, Lily and Jasmine, her parents, Karen and Ron Graves, her sisters, Kassie Ramirez and Kourtney Graves, and their families Duane Ramirez, Nicholas Ramirez, and Sarah Graves, and her ‘adopted’ siblings, Dillon Smith, Samantha Shankles, Jesi Coates, and Hadasa Eckert.

In honor of Kristen’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Every contribution serves as a lifeline to those struggling, offering hope and support in their darkest moments.

Viewing will be on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton, TX. Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, TX on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 11:00am.

I am so saddened by the Kristen's passing and only learned of it today. I know she was a cherished daughter and will be missed by all who knew her. My sympathies to you, Karen and Ron, and to her sisters. Take care and know she is free of her burdens and cares.

I am deeply sorry to hear about Kristen's passing and thinking of all her family and friends as they navigate through this grief. I had the pleasure of working with Kristen at Embrace and I always appreciated her positivity, enthusiasm, kind heart, and honest nature. I'll always remember the training video calls on Teams where she had her pup on her lap, her talking about her parent's PEZ collection with pride, and her winning our Jeopardy game. She was one of our best team members and wasn't afraid to reach out with questions or call something out if it didn't make sense. She made such an impact and will truly be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss and it has been many years since I have spoken to you all but my heart goes out to you. Depression is a real thing and we can all try to be there for our loved ones.

Kristen was one of the few people I truly connected to while at UNT. After graduating and moving away, we had separate lives but I never forgot how wonderful Kristen and her sister Kourtney were, and if only we lived closer where we could share life again. I’m deeply sad that life seems to short and am reminded that what we delay and assume can happen latter doesn’t always have a second chance. Kristen will be deeply missed as the world lost a wonderful and beautiful soul.

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of Kristen. She was a beautiful and kind soul. She was the first person to friend me when I moved to Stanton. May her legacy of kindness live on through her memory.
