Kevin Ambrose

Kevin Ross Ambrose, 59, of Ft. Stockton, TX, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Midland Memorial Hospital, Midland, TX.

He was born April 26, 1963 in Oroville, CA, and was the son of the late Henry Ross Ambrose and Carine Fleming Smith. Kevin had worked in the oil and gas industry and raised his family in Aztec, NM before he followed work as an area manager to Texas.

He is survived by his son, Alan “A.J.” Ambrose and his wife Demitri Ambrose of Carlsbad, NM, their children Athena and Anthony Ambrose, two daughters, Anysha Ambrose “baby sister” of Bloomfield, NM and April Ambrose of Morro Bay, CA, and April’s children Malia Lodolo and Jayce Morton; two sisters, Ann Smith and Carolyn Smith; a brother, Rick Smith; and his former wife, Alanna Ambrose.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Troy Ambrose, Gene Smith, and Sonny Smith; and two sisters, Wanda Love and Bernice Williams.

The family will have a Celebration of his Life in the early summer of 2023 at the place he loved to spend time with his family, Transfer Park near Mancos Colorado. His children will keep everyone posted on his and their Facebook pages. They look forward to sharing memories of this extraordinary man as he touched so many people’s life here on earth. May the roaring engines of heaven soar with him until we meet again.
