Kenneth Duffer, Sr., 77, of Big Spring, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the funeral home.He was born October 5, 1940 in Colorado City, Texas and married Leona Burch August 20, 1960 in Coahoma, Texas.Kenneth came to Howard County as a young boy and graduated from Forsan High School in 1959. He worked for Cosden Refinery for 32 years before retiring. His hobbies included welding, woodworking, gardening and fishing as well as any other outdoor activity. He also enjoyed being with his “tractor buddies” and showing off their antique tractors and demonstrating how older equipment worked to the younger generation.Survivors include his wife, Leona Duffer; three children, Dianna Osburn and husband, Billy, Kenny Duffer and wife, Lori all of Big Spring, and Peggy Bryant and husband, Toby of Greenwood; his mother, Sybil Duffer of Big Spring; two sisters, Linda Strickland and husband, Eddie and Anna Mahan all of Odessa; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Duffer of Big Spring; eight grandchildren, William Osburn and wife, Lindsey, Felicia Arnold and husband, Jason, T. R. Bryant and wife, Carla, Morgan Cwelich and husband, John, Stephanie Duffer, Melissa Duffer, Mallory Clinkscales and husband, Austin and Gunnar Kennedy; and 12 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father, Les Duffer; and a brother, Lester Duffer.The family suggests memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/donate or to Compass Hospice, 1900 S.
