Laura, my daughter told me about the tragic & sudden loss of your son. Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for your loss as I have gone through the same process with the loss of my son in 1996. It’s something you can never get over. I will say a prayer for you and your family. May GOD wrap HIS loving arms around you at this time in your life. RTB (in Pennsylvania)

When I first joined football, you were the only person who helped me get used to the program. You always gave your best to be the best even if you were going through something, and that alone is why your soul was one of the best. You finished your race strong through and with the Word of God. Thank you for always encouraging me to PR in our track meets and for always encouraging me to be an impacting athlete. I love you man. I'll forever miss you in this life. Til Rapture do we meet again bro!

Parker Payne left a message on March 13, 2026:
There never was a tame nor dull moment with Coop, every time I found myself next to him I knew I’d have a new memory to look back on, and there sure were plenty. Some of my favorites happened in either the passenger seat or trunk of his car, whether it was almost sliding into some poor ladies brick fence because he thought he could be a formula drift driver on the way to football, or acting like the stop signs didn’t apply to him and almost getting me, him, and whoever knows how many more of us we could cram in his car in some fairly deep trouble, yet again on the way to football. That was the joy of being with Coop, you never knew what was going to come of it, all you knew as that you’d be in for a ride, maybe not always an enjoyable ride, but always a memorable one for sure. We all miss and love you more than you’d ever imagine, rest easy bud and don’t make the angels work too hard up there trying to keep you in line.
