Kenneth Andrew Brigman, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. He was born and raised in Kannapolis, NC to Ira Andrew Brigman and Elzady S. Brigman. Ken married Jane Collins in 1957 in Los Angeles, CA. They have one son, Roy Brigman and one daughter, Chris Rowley. He later married Doris McMillan Braggs on September 12, 1970. They have two daughters, Shanna Williams and Renee Brigman.Ken graduated from LIFE Bible College in 1959. He dedicated his life to doing the Lord?s work as a pastor and youth pastor for many years. He then worked for Sears and Zales Corporation. He recently worked for Walmart for seven years, greeting people at the door and putting smiles on everyone?s faces. He was a member of Calvary Assembly for thirty-one years. Ken?s greatest love was to spend time with his family and he cherished the moments he had with his grandkids. He enjoyed ministering to the elderly while preaching and singing. For many years he sang in groups sharing God?s love in song. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother Hugh Smith, and a sister Beatrice Wetter. He is survived by his wife, Doris Brigman of Midland; his children, Roy Brigman and his wife Margie of Abilene, TX, Chris Rowley and her husband Randy of Austin, TX, Shanna Williams and her husband Brad of Midland, Renee Brigman of Midland; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One half-brother, J.W. Smith of Georgia, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be John McMillan, Bob Sundet, Ken Pruitt, David Carbajal, David Rich, Glen Sanders, Leroy Brigman and Ryan Rowley. Services will be at First Assembly of God on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials to be sent to New Springs Family Church. Services are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
