Ken Gohr, 70, of Midland, Texas, died on Saturday, March10, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 16, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church.He was born on February 9, 1942, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. He married Neta Ann Winter in Jackson, Minnesota, on August 12, 1962. Ken owned Professional Carpet Systems from 1985 to 2006, remaining as a consultant until his passing.Ken loved spending time at the lake house and watching his grandchildren play their sporting events. He enjoyed grilling for his family and friends. His family's favorite was his pork ribs.Survivors include his wife, Neta of Midland; loving mother-in-law, Ione Graue of Midland; a son, Neil Gohr and wife Tracie of Hobbs, New Mexico; children, Marissa Juarez and partner Todd Kirkpatrick, their children, Kilan and Cielo; and Raianna Gohr and her son Gabriel Corral; three step daughters, Melanie, Summer, and Danielle Patterson; daughter, Nanci Castillo and husband CSM Jose Castillo, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, their daughters, Mackenzie and Madison; daughter Kristine Curtis and husband Roddell of Midland and their children, Kason and Keaton; and son Kevin Gohr and wife Ami of Midland, and their children, Morgan and Mason.Ken was preceded in death by his father, Otto Gohr; mother and stepfather, Ona and Elmer Skare; and brother, Ronald Gohr.The family suggests memorials to be made to the Baumann Scholarship Fund, in care of Grace Lutheran Church, 3000 W. lso in the list of obituaries was Duane Crawley. I was happy to know that the Gohrs hve remained faithful and Lutheran. God's promises in clude, "Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life". I am 87 and Terrie is 82.
