Kay Stowe Moore, of Midland, Texas, passed to the arms of the Lord Friday, November 18, 2016 after a long struggle with Multiple Myeloma. Kay was surrounded by her family at that time. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Midland, Texas. Interment will be at a later date.Kay was a strong woman on the outside supported by a soft and caring inner core. She was a Christian and a member of First United Methodist Church of Midland. She was diligent in her prayer life and Bible study. She would maintain contact and moral support to a friend or relative to the end, even when their support drifted away. She was very loved by her family and friends.Kay was born on May 21, 1940 in Columbia, Tennessee. She was graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1962 with a B. A. in Elementary Education. She was a member of Sigma Kappa. She began her teaching career in Plainview, Texas where she met her husband, Don. They were married in 1963 and were married for 53 years. She taught preschool in Lubbock for several years. She and her family moved to Midland in 1994. Kay made family her first priority and always enjoyed opening her home to extended family and friends.She is survived by her husband William Don Moore. Children: Andrea Coffee (Mark) of Temple, Texas and Travis Moore (Midland). Grandchildren: Tristen and Harrison Coffee. Siblings: Joe Stowe, III (Mary) of Lawton, Oklahoma; Suzy Khalifa of Cairo, Egypt; Louise Stowe-Johns (Roger) of Warrenton, Virginia; and India Stowe of Atlantic City, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her sister, Betse Stowe.The family thanks Drs.
