On Wednesday, March 02, 2016 Kathy White met with her sweet Lord. Kathryn Sue White, 69, was born in Jacksboro, Texas, to Johnny and Geneva Wilhoit. She passed away at home after a lengthy illness. She was also known as Kathy, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and Dearest Friend. A Christian in Faith was a member of Bellview Baptist Church in Midland; she attended church services of the First Baptist Church of Odessa, Texas, by means of satellite TV. Kathryn attended school in Snyder, Midland, and Fort Worth, Texas. In 1962, in Benbrook, Texas, she married her longtime friend, Richard White of Midland, Texas, while Richard was enlisted in the U.S. Army and stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. They lived in Lawton, Oklahoma, Benbrook, Texas, Fort Worth, Texas, River Oaks, Texas, Harker Heights, Texas, El Paso, Texas, Cleveland, Texas, and Midland, Texas. Kathryn worked with Tull’s Drugs, Perrone & Park pharmacy, Levi Strauss, Fed-Mart, K-Mart, and as a bookkeeper for Tommy White Supply and Rich Enterprises. Later she cared for others as a licensed CNA Nurse. Kathryn loved to be with friends and family (especially grandchildren), playing bridge, bowling, and cooking for family. During her free time she was an avid reader, developed and cared for multiple farms in the virtual world, keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, as well Queen of FreeCell. Kathryn is survived by her husband Richard Sr. of Midland; elder son Richard Jr. and wife Lisa of Tomball, Texas; son Russell and wife Elizabeth, and grandchildren Katie, Kristin, Aaron and Elijah of Midland; daughter Crystal and husband Les Simpson, and their son Dashiell of Pflugerville, Texas; brother Johnny Wilhoit and wife Terri of Haslet, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Jack and Geneva Maxine Wilhoit. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Midland. Memorial services will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park of Midland.
