Kathryn Grantham, 91, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, February 3, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Larry Marshall, minister of Knott Church of Christ, officiating and Chaplain Walter McCall, with Compass Hospice, assisting. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born on March 1, 1916, in Knott, Texas and married Odie Grantham on August 15, 1934 in Knott. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1971.Mrs. Grantham was a lifetime resident of the Knott Community. She was the daughter of John and Myrtie Nichols, pioneer farming family in the Knott area. She loved to farm along with her husband and her boys. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Knott Church of Christ.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Grady and Ann Grantham of Knott, and Bud and Angel Grantham of Elbow; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Gary Ware of Knott; two sisters, Inez Sample and Johnny Ray both of Big Spring; two brothers, Tink Nichols of Knott, and Chuck Nichols of Big Spring; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtie Nichols; one grandson, Heith Ware; two brothers, Barney Nichols and Claude Nichols; and one sister, Edith Condron.
