Katherine Pauline Williams, 94, of Big Spring, died on Monday, October 23, 2006, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Ken McIntosh, family members and friends, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.She was born on July 28, 1912, in Concho County, Texas and married Claud Williams on October 26, 1930 in Hobbs, NM. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1970.Mrs. Williams attended Big Spring schools and completed the Southwestern Publishing Company's bookkeeping course in 1929. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church and served several years on the benevolence committee. She also served many years as a volunteer at the Big Srping State Hospital. She was a homemaker and began working as secretary and bookkeeper for the family business, Williams Fabricators, in 1970, retiring in 1990.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Don and Vevagene Willams of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Roy Hester of Big Spring; four granddaughters, Cindy Brooks and her husband, Dean, Kay Sauls and her husband, Don Ray, Brenda Bradshaw and her husband, Bobby, all of Midland, and Kathy, who was married to the late Dr. Cleve Kirkland of San Angelo.Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Blake Alderton, Leslie Alderton Harris and her husband Brent, Terry and Kayla Sauls, Nathan, Garrett, and Emily Bradshaw, and Kendra, Kyle and Claire Kirkland. There are three great great grandchildren, Kelsey, Haley and Shawn Harris.She was preceded in death by her parents, James Earnest and Minnie Trimble Griffin and one sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Lloyd Brooks.
