Kathaleen Underwood Elliott, 81, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, January 13, 2005, at her son's residence in Lubbock. Interment services will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, at Trinity Memorial Park. Memorial services will follow at 2:30 PM Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Dave Ring, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home.She was born on February 11, 1923, in Mexia.She worked as a secretary for Big Spring Independent School District for twenty-three years and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Kathaleen was a devoted mother and loyal friend. She was an inspiration to her family and many who knew her. Her laughter, sparkling sense of humor and joy for life will be missed.She was a member of First United Methodist Church.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Stacy Elliott of Lubbock; two brothers, Forrest Underwood and James Underwood both of Midland; two grandchildren, Lee and Carly Elliott of Lubbock; two nieces, Linda Woolley of Lubbock and Judy Frye of Austin; four nephews, Jim Hinds of Austin, Gary Hinds of Prosper, Steve Underwood of Helotes and Lee Underwood of Highland Ranch, Colorado.She was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Belle Hinds.The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Road, Suite 3, Lubbock, Texas 79416, The American Cancer Society Memorial Program, % Lucy Bonner, P.O.
