Justin Michael Smith

Justin Smith was born to Michael and Kristi McLean Smith in Midland, Texas. He attended both Midland High School and Robert E. Lee High School in Midland before graduating from Texas Tech University in 2002, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing.

At the age of 12, Justin accepted Christ as his personal Savior while attending Glorieta Camp in New Mexico. He later publicly professed his faith through baptism at Crestview Baptist Church.

Justin married Samantha Hasting in 2005, and to this union were born two beloved children, Hayden Cole Smith and Claire Madison Smith.

Justin will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and remarkable ability to make people laugh no matter what the circumstance. He always had a joke ready for every moment and a way of brightening even the hardest days with his humor and charm. Justin never met a stranger, and if you spent more than a few minutes with him, chances are he had you smiling, laughing, and ready to join him in whatever meaningful adventure life had in store.

Justin was passionate about his work at Alldredge Gardens, where he learned the business from his mentor David Alldredge. He took great pride in his work and valued the relationships, knowledge, and experiences he gained there. His strong work ethic and enthusiasm were evident in everything he did.

He was a man with big dreams and even bigger stories, told with the kind of enthusiasm only Justin could deliver. His energy filled every room, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

More than anything else, Justin was devoted to the people he loved. He was an amazing father who cared deeply for his children, a loving husband, a proud son, a dedicated coach, and a loyal friend. He showed up for people when they needed him and gave his heart freely to his family, friends, and community.

Though his absence leaves an emptiness that cannot be replaced, the memories he created—the laughter, the stories, the jokes, and the love—will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him best. Justin will be deeply missed and remembered forever.

He is survived by his children, Hayden Smith and Claire Smith, and their mother, Samantha Smith; his father, Michael Smith and wife Leslie; his mother, Kristi Alldredge and husband Frank Berthold; his paternal grandmother, Shirley Rampy; and his maternal grandfather, Clyde McLean. He is also survived by five stepbrothers, two stepsisters, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and thousands of friends.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, David Alldredge, paternal grandfather, Harold Rampy, and his maternal grandmother, Jenna McLean.
