Julie was my son's counselor in 29 Palms. At a very young age he was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and struggled in many ways. Julie began seeing him and made a huge difference in his life. She was very instrumental in teaching him coping skills and made him feel like a million. Thanks Julie for making him a better man and a success in life. We will meet again....

Cade, I always enjoyed the time I spent with you and Julie. You both always treated me with respect and kindness. I can only imagine how your 'world has been turned upside down.' I came to the grave side service but with so many people close to you, there was no way for me to be able to express words to you. If you ever need a 'punching bag' or a 'girl sitter' or just someone that maybe 'wasn't so close,' give me a call, 817-313-7592. I've lost your phone number or I just might give you a call sometime, so we could talk about pistols or whatever. I do check the email occasionally, but not every day, if you would like to send me you phone number that way. Only my best to you, Jay

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We never really had the opportunity to get to know Julie that well, but everytime that she came to Mass with Joe and Carol she had a way of lighting up that church with her beautiful smile and blonde hair. God Bless each of you!
Colonel B.P. & Kerry McCoy, USMC left a message on December 9, 2009:
Julie was one of those effervescent, sparkly delights in life. She exuded the warmth and kindness that draws people in. Just prior to a second unit deployment to Iraq, our unit was training in Okinawa, Japan. Julie flew out to meet up with Cade so they could share Christmas together. In and amongst a sea of green uniforms on Camp Schwab, Julie's solitary pink handbag stood out as she moved and chatted with those around - everyone could always tell where she was!. We still know where she is - and where she will always be- in our hearts and our fond memories of her sunny presence. We will miss you among us Julie... until we meet again. Semper Fi, B.P. McCoy

Lisa Harrington left a message on December 9, 2009:
During my recent move, Julie once said that our friendship was only changing zip codes, and that it was not over. Now I am saying the same words back to her. The phrase "friendship is love without either flowers or veil," helps me believe in the timelessness of our bond. Her "love" was so thoughtful and giving, uplifting and inspirational, smart and funny! I will always draw from that fellowship and I earnestly offer my prayers for all she leaves behind.

I remember Julie as my younger sister's cheerleading friend. She became mine also. We all grew up together in Germany. I remember so many days with sports or with a church youth group riding around in Ivory's van mostly just having fun. She and Natalie and Beth Basla would often stay over for slumber parties with my sister. She was always fast to smile and pleasant to be around. In fact, I can hardly recall her not smiling. And of course, I remember that amazing curly hair of hers. She was truly a doll. I am so very sorry for your loss. God Bless, Jennifer Christopherson Meredith

Korey and I were recalling all of the significant thinkgs Julie did for us that still impact our lives. First and foremost, she extended an awesome friendship. She also welcomed us to her church and got us to regularly attend for the past 12 years now. She helped us with a money tree and party as we took a major turn in our lives after the loss of our first child. She was also responsible for organizing and planning our first child, Sydney's, baby shower. Thank you, Julie, for always being a ray of sunshine we could count on. You made such an impact here on earth and I know you must have much more to do in heaven!
