Julie was my son's counselor in 29 Palms. At a very young age he was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and struggled in many ways. Julie began seeing him and made a huge difference in his life. Just prior to a second unit deployment to Iraq, our unit was training in Okinawa, Japan. Julie flew out to meet up with Cade so they could share Christmas together. I remember Julie as my younger sister's cheerleading friend. She became mine also. We all grew up together in Germany. I remember so many days with sports or with a church youth group riding around in Ivory's van mostly just having fun.
