It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Judy Golden on September 13th, 2023. She was a pillar of strength, love, and wisdom in our family, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Judy was born on February 6th, 1940 in Oklahoma City, OK to Dallas and Ruby McBroom. She grew up in Electra, TX and attended Electra High School where she was a shining Homecoming Queen. She married her high school sweetheart, and lived a life full of love, compassion, and purpose. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and grace. She was deeply committed to her weekly Bible Study and the friends she shared that time with. Judy had family, and friends that she made feel like family. She was a member of Mid-Cities church, and active in the lives of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy was a devoted wife to Charles (Bud) Golden, Jr. for 65 wonderful years. Together, they created a loving family that will carry on her legacy. She is survived by her sons, Marty Golden and his wife Elaine, David Golden and his wife Suzie, as well as Greg Golden and his wife Julie. Judy was a Mimi to 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren that she was incredibly proud of. She was the guiding light of her family and provided unwavering support and love throughout her life.
Judy was a woman of class, and love. She radiated kindness and intelligence and was a true joy to be around. She took pride in her church and the relationships she created throughout her many years of service. You could always count on the punctuality and flawless appearance of Judy, and she was an especially loved cook and entertainer.
