Judith Carolyn Martin

Judith Carolyn Martin, 81, of Midland, left her earthly home unexpectedly on August 29, 2025. Judy was born on September 28, 1943 in Wilmer, AR as the fourth daughter of Woodrow and Lucille Kulbeth. Two sons, Larry and Jack, would soon follow, and complete their loving family. She graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in elementary education and later spent many years teaching at Jane Long Elementary in Midland. In 1973 she met the love of her life, Bud Martin, and they were married February 14, 1974, and together they shared a beautiful marriage until his passing in June 2021.

Judy later gave up her teaching career to become a talented and gifted interior decorator to many clients and friends. She poured her creativity into every project and always had so much joy helping transform homes and offices into beautiful spaces. Her passion for work was matched only by the love she had for her family and friends. She cherished her close friendships and built lasting bonds through kindness, loyalty and laughter. Judy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity and unwavering love for her family.

Judy leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer Martin Turney; grandson Walker Turney (Allie) and granddaughter Emily Turney Harbuck (Kyle) all of Fort Worth, Texas; great grandchildren, Nina Turney, Olivia Harbuck, Millie Harbuck and Barrett Harbuck. She is also survived by her dear brother Larry Kulbeth and wife Cheryll; sister-in-law Kathy Kulbeth and so many loving nieces and nephews and her longtime friend and caregiver Josie Sandoval.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Don “Bud” Martin; father, Woodrow Kulbeth; mother, Lucille Knight Kaundart; sisters, Peggy Golden, Virginia Black, Patsy Bostwick and brother, Jack Kulbeth.

Judy’s spirit of love and enthusiasm of life will live in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her through the years.
