Juanita was born November 28, 1928 in Borden County, Texas to parents James Eugene McNeese and Vada Bell (Gossett) McNeese. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County. She loved being involved in her children and grandchildren’s activities, such as going to band competitions and frequenting Big Spring Athletic events. She was very active with her church, contributing her musical talents as both a singer and pianist for church services. Over many decades, she also poured her life into the church’s youth program, teaching the youth of Christianity and Jesus’s works through her love of working with puppets. Most days, you could find her putting together jigsaw puzzles either physically, or more recently, on her iPad.
She is survived by her children Janice Shields (Royce) and Gary Osburn (Janet), her stepchildren, Betty Pruitt (Ken) and Gaye Lawhon (Floyd), 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 10 great greatgrandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s Ervil Lee Osburn and George Washington Ivy; her sisters Louise Gilstrap and Evanell Barber, one brother James McNeese, and one stepson Larry Ivy.
