Juan Manuel Estrada, 59, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, June 20, 2013, in a local hospital from injuries received in an oilfield accident. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.He was born on October 29, 1953, in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico and had lived in Big Spring since 1987. He received his GED and welding degree from Cisco Junior College. Juan worked for Earthco as a foreman.Survivors include his wife, Minerva Estrada of Lubbock; a son, Jose Brito and wife, Candi of Big Spring; three daughters, Sonia Galindo and husband, Cesar of Midland, Teresa Estrada and husband, Junior of Lubbock and Linda Herrera and husband, Sisto of Big Spring; a brother, Arturo Estrada of Quemado, Texas; two sisters, Ellia Estrada of Mexico and Aurora Estrada of Quemado, Texas; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Margarita Duarte Estrada and two brothers, Chema Estrada and Benjamin Estrada.
