Joyce Rader Leach went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 30, 2018. She was born on October 26, 1924 in San Antonio, Texas to Kathryn North Crawford and Vance Rader. Joyce graduated from Horace Mann High School in San Antonio in 1942. She attended The University of Texas at Austin for one year before meeting the love of her life, Albert Gordon Leach. They were married in San Antonio on July 26, 1944. They were married fifty years before he passed away.Joyce was an amazing bridge player. At one time she was a member of four bridge clubs. She would not miss bridge for anything. Joyce was a member of Delta Gamma social sorority and the Tejas Garden Club. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Midland for over fifty-five years where she was in the Fellowship Class.She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Debbie) K. Wallace and her husband Edward (Eddie). Granddaughter Amy Bishop Akins and her husband David of Waco, Texas. Grandson Taylor C. Wallace of Denver, Colorado. Great-grandchildren Abigail Lane (Abby) and David Asher (Dash) of Waco, Texas. Joyce is also survived by nieces Kimberly Ann Owen of Richmond, Virginia and Robbie Grace Wood of Roseland, Virginia.The family would like to extend a special thank you to her best friend and caretaker Anna Cordova, her husband Pete and daughters Martha, Melissa and Marissa and all of the Cordova family of Midland. Also thankful to Dr. Shylesh Ganta for all the special care he gave her. And a grateful appreciation to Ann Smith for her management services over the years.Services are scheduled Saturday, October 6th at 2:00 pm in the Glass Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Midland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UT Southwestern Lung Transplant Team, Dallas, Texas and Saint Paul’s Episcopal School, Waco, Texas or to the charity of one’s choice.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
