Joseph Salvatore Severino, Sr., 74, of Midland passed away peacefully on February 22, 2014. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:00am at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.Joseph was born on May 28, 1939 in Buffalo, New York to Ralph Vincent Severino and Jenny Goia Severino. He moved to Midland with the love of his life and wife, Carrie Lou Severino, in 1985 where they raised their two sons, James and Joseph, Jr. He was a hard working engineer tech in the oil and gas industry, but his favorite pastime was at home with his family enjoying their game nights. He was a quiet, but very loving man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid collector of rocks, minerals, and oil corporation memorabilia.The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Hospice Midland and the 7th floor nurses at Midland Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care of Joseph.He is survived by his wife, Carrie Severino of Midland, Texas; sons, Joseph S. Severino, Jr of Midland, Texas and James A. Severino and his wife, Julie M. of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Dina Marie Severino Prebeck of Buffalo, New York; grandson, Samuel J. Severino of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Lillian Amoia of Buffalo, New York, Sharon Schiesl of Mission Viejo, California, and Pamela Burks of Gold Canyon, Arizona; brother, Ralph Vincent Severino, Jr.; stepmother, Marilyn Severino of Gold Canyon, Arizona; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jenny Severino and sister, Penelope Tucker.,
