Joseph Petronella, 89, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, surrounded by his family. Joseph was a Christian, a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict and a member of the Midland community since Christmas of 1973.Joseph Johnnie Petronella was born on July 16, 1925 in Houston, Texas to Benjamin and Mary (Baglio) Petronella. He married the love of his life, Marie Marburger, on June 2, 1956 in Belton, Texas. Joseph was a jack-of-all-trades; a truck driver, a welder and a wine clerk to name just a few. He owned his several businesses; a shop, a junk yard and a bar or two along the way. Joseph liked to have fun and could usually be found right in the middle of everything stirring it up. More than anything, Joseph was real, in every sense of the word, family man.Joseph is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Marie Petronella; his daughter, Rebecca Ayers; his son, Johnnie Lee Petronella; his son, Walter Petronella and wife, Terri; his son, Dominick Petronella; his son, Michael Petronella and wife, Shannon; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and numerous friends all of whom loved and will miss him dearly.Joseph was preceded by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Petronella; and his sister, Bessie Petronella.,
