Joseph Radford Kiowski was born on May 4, 1940, in Dallas, TX to Joseph William Kiowski and Mary Lou (Shields) Kiowski. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Carol Kiowski; his children Kelly Avritt & husband John Avritt of Copperas Cove, TX, Lindsey Pena and husband Michael Pena of Mansfield, TX, Allison Holley & husband Daniel Holley of Midland, TX, Ashley Clark and husband Philip Clark of Ft. Worth, TX, Joseph William Kiowski II and wife McKenzie Kiowski of Midland, TX, and William Kiowski and wife Ashlyn Kiowski of Midland, TX; as well as 12 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Joe lived a full life as a dedicated husband, father, and friend. He graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1966 and then went on to be a practicing pharmacist for 43 years; 30 of which were at Midland Memorial Hospital. After retirement he served on the Midland County Hospital Board of Directors for eight years.
Joe also had an unwavering commitment to his Catholic church communities, including St. Stephen’s and St. Ann’s. Joe served on multiple committees such as the Parish Council for St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, as well as serving as President of the Building and Finance committees. He was a Third-Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus and a Third-Order Franciscan.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Midland. Memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Branch at npw.
