I have always considered Joe Kent a good friend. I met Joe when I was 14 and he would come into Odessa on the weekends with Jeremy and hang out at the mall. He was always such a happy young man. You hardly ever saw him without a smile on his face. His laugh and smile were so contagious. I will never forget them. It broke my heart to hear about his passing. He was such an amazing person and he will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.

I meet Joe about 4 Months ago and we quickly became great friends. He and I would sit and talk for hours about life in general. Joe is an amazing person that could always make you laugh. I am very sorry that God decided to take him earlier than most of us expected. I want his family to know that Joe made a huge impact on so many people and that his memory will go on forever. I will miss him dearly, but I know that God will take amazing care of him!!

I met Joe in 1996 or 1997. We would hang out at the mall on Friday nights when he and Jeremy would come to Odessa. He was a wonderful young man. I hadn't talked to him in many years, but I never forgot. He will always be in my heart and my memories. My deep condolences are with all his family and friends. You are in my heart and prayers.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Joe and I met a long time ago. We were best friends at times, we would spend nights playing hacky sack for hours and hours... me and him and Dan. He swam w/ us the following year, went to lots of swim meets and shared times that a lot of people just simply didn't get to. After graduating, we didn't talk a lot. We crossed paths a few times here and there which was always awesome. Then at my wedding he just popped in - I never expected him there. But he was. When my Brother died years later, he called out of the middle of nowhere and offered his condolences... once again - I never expected him there. But that was Joe Kent... always there when you never really expected him. His laugh was one I cannot ever forget. A rapid, contagious and uncontained laugh - one that echoed and seemed to make everyone around him realize just how awesome the moment was. My hearts hurts today. I miss him, even though I may not realize it until another one of those times when I wasn't expecting him to be there. I love ya Brother.

I met Joe in 2001, during a particularly rough period, and we grew to be close friends. Although some time has passed since the last time we spoke, I have always considered Joe among the best people I have known. I was heartbroken to hear the news of his passing, and my thoughts are with his family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences...
