Joseph E. “Joe” Earnest, 81, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Midland. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Chaplain Brad Daniels officiating.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.He was born June 5, 1936 in Big Spring to Joseph “Red” Earnest and Modena “Dena” Earnest. He married Raenita Lou Dunlap April 9, 1955 in Big Spring.Joe was a lifelong resident of Big Spring. He had worked in the oil field for a number of years and had worked at Cosden Refinery for 25 years. He was a member of the Cosden 25 Year Club.Survivors include his wife, Raenita Earnest of Kingsville; three children, Darla Lynch and husband, Don of Kingsville, Danita Earnest of Odessa and Dale Earnest and wife, Raelyn of Hideaway; six grandchildren, David Barton and wife, Leanna, Kaci Allen and husband, Larry, Keven Earnest and wife, Ashley, Daniel Earnest, Tyler Earnest and Jared Earnest; and four great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard “Dickie” Earnest; and one sister, Barbara Zumwalt.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
