Jose R. AguilarJose R. Aguilar, 79, of Midland, went to be with his heavenly father on November 6, 2006. Funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1405 E. Garden Lane, Midland, with Rev. Edward T. de Len, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park with military honors. A rosary vigil will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 7:00 pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, 3800 N. Big Spring St., Midland, Texas.Jose came to Midland in 1953 from Rankin, Texas. He worked as a self-employed tile setter for forty years before retiring. Jose served in the US Army from July 1945 until his honorable discharge in January 1947. While in the Army he received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.Survivors include; his wife of fifty-seven years Margaret Aguilar of Midland; a son John Aguilar and wife Blanca of Midland; a daughter Margaret Mott and husband John of Deland, FL; a daughter Velma Morales and husband Alfred of Midland; a daughter Mary Montoya and husband Luis of Magnolia, TX; a daughter Linda Diaz and husband David of Midland; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother Nieves Aguilar and wife Elva of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother Adolfo Aguilar and wife Edna of Odessa; a brother Fred Aguilar and wife Juanita of Crane, TX; a brother Tom Aguilar and wife Marta of Odessa; a brother Sal Aguilar and wife Linda of Rankin, TX.He was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Rosa Aguilar and one brother Ventura Aguilar.Pallbearers will be Andy Aguilar, Albert Aguilar, Danny Aguilar, Tony Aguilar, Jacob Hernandez and Daniel Diaz.The family would like to give sincere thanks to all the wonderful nurses and staff at MMH Oncology for the tenderness and care shown to their daddy and to Hospice of Midland for all their care and love.The family suggests memorials be directed to Hospice of Midland, P.O.
