Jose “Joe” Munoz, Jr., 73, of Big Spring died Wednesday, October 3, 2018. Rosary service will be held 7:00 PM, Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Joe was born on September 28, 1945 in Big Spring. He was a long time resident of Big Spring. In 1972 he enlisted in the United States Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Expert Rifle Badge. At the time he was honorably discharged his rank was Sergeant.Joe had several occupations over the years which allowed him to make countless friendships. His generous heart and friendly demeanor touched the lives of many.He is survived by two daughters, Evelyn Saenz and husband, Benny Saenz, Jr. and their three children, and Irene Rose and her three children; a son, Erik Munoz and wife, Kemberli, and their four children, all of Big Spring; three brothers, Manuel Munoz of Big Spring, Federico Munoz of Ft. Worth, and Robert Munoz of Big Spring; four sisters, Delores Garcia of Medera, California, Irene McCurdy of Denver, Colorado, Mary Flores of Corpus Christi, and Anita Birley of Lubbock; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
