Johnny Ray “J.R.“ Brewer

Johnny Ray (JR) Brewer, 52, of Midland, Texas was called to Heaven on Friday, June 9, 2023.  A visitation will held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, Midland, TX.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Placid Cemetery, Placid, TX.

JR was born on November 21, 1970 in Las Vegas, NV to Paul Ray Brewer and Katheryn Pittman Brewer.  During JR’s early childhood he lived in Abilene and Brownwood before moving to Midland in 1981.  JR was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, Midland, Texas.  JR also attended Midland College and Paramedic Training.  His work experience includes insurance auditing at major hospitals and later working with multiple chemical companies.

JR is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Hollcroft Brewer, his father, Paul Ray Brewer, his step-father Ronald H. Oglesby, his stepson Joey Hollcroft and both maternal and paternal grandparents.  He is survived by his mother, Kathy Oglesby of Midland, his brother Travis Brewer and wife Courtney, his brother Casey Brewer and wife Jamie, his sister Brianne Brewer, his step mother, Debi Brewer, all from Rowlette, Texas, his sister, Lori Clevenger and husband, Jeff, his brother Ron Oglesby, Jr. and his brother, James Oglesby and wife December, all from Midland, Texas, his stepdaughter Jennifer and husband Alex of Alabama, and his stepson Jeffrey Hollcroft and wife, Michelle, of Austin, and seven nephews and two nieces and many, many cousins and friends.
