Johnny Dean Darden, 48, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Mt. Olive Memorial Park with Rev. Sammy Sims, officiating.He was born on March 15, 1956, in Big Spring, Texas.Johnny attended Coahoma Schools. He worked as a truck driver for various companies and had also farmed.He was a member of Luther Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Shirley Day of Big Spring; his mother, Johnnie Tatum of Big Spring; one brother, Allen Joe Darden of Big Spring; one sister, Diana Sanders of Houston; his ex-wife, Bernice Darden of Big Spring; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Darden; one brother, Larry Darden; and a son, Jody Day. Pallbearers will be Terry Darden, Ray Darden, Todd Darden, Scott Darden, Cary Darden and Ronald Wilkerson.
