Johnnie was born in Midland, Texas on March 19, 1942, to Lottie Faye and Arthur Trillie Davis. For the past 15 years, she was dedicated to teaching cosmetology students at Midland College helping them achieve certification and empower them for their future success. She thoroughly enjoyed walking alongside her students, she often referred to them as her children and loved making sure that they were prepared for future endeavors professionally.
She married Claudie Aaron on May 10, 1960, and together they had one daughter, Sheri Gene Aaron.
Johnnie was a beautician from a very early age, early in her career, she owned her own beauty shop business in Big Spring, Texas and worked at many locations throughout her life helping people feel beautiful and confident. Johnnie cherished being busy in whatever opportunity came her way.
One of her favorite pastimes was traveling with her dear friends and family. Some of her favorite destinations were Alaska, Yellowstone, Michigan and Tennessee. Her last travels were to see Noah’s Ark in Kentucky with her dear friends and family – it was something she always wanted to see. She often traveled to Dallas to not only see her sister but her nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Johnnie cherished her trips and cruises and seeing all parts of the country.
She loved going to Wagner-Noel with friends and being entertained through all different types of music and plays. The exploring heart of Johnnie was always up for any new adventure.
While at home, she stayed busy doing needle point, cruelling and cross stitching. All her finished pieces were works of art. Johnnie loved to laugh but more than anything she loved life! She could talk to anyone and make them feel like she had known them her whole life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Claudie, her one daughter, Sheri Gene and her oldest sister, Joe Reba (Jodie) Gillihan, Johnnie is survived by her sister, Carol Stringer, three nieces, five nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.
