John Morlang, born October 12, 1912 in Olathe, Colorado went to be with his Lord August 1, 2005.John lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming for 55 years prior to coming to Midland to be near his daughter, Barbara Scott and her husband, Dick.In 1937 John started working for Safeway stores in Colorado. In 1949 he moved his wife and two children to Cheyenne where he was manager of many of the Safeway stores there. He enjoyed bowling in many leagues and fishing. After retiring in 1978 he and his wife, Lucille, took many fishing trips in the Cheyenne area. He also delivered cars for a Ford Motor Company dealer when needed. For a short time John lived at Point Frontier in Cheyenne and received loving care by all the staff in that facility. We want to thank all of them for helping our family at a very trying time but especially Rich and Marty. They were so helpful to John and his family that were visiting Cheyenne at that time. We also want to thank John and Lucille's neighbors and Cheyenne for the many years they gave them so much help, John and Dolores, Bill and Toni and Pam. His parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters preceded John in death. John is survived by his wife, Lucille, the love of his life for 51 years, now of Cinccinnati, Ohio. Also his daughter, Barbara, and her husband Dick Scott of Midland, his son, John, and his wife Katherine of Sutter's Creek, California, a siser, Martha and her husband Bud Helmricks of Salome, Arizona. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his first wife, Helen.At his request John was cremated and also at his request his daughter, Barbara, will scatter his ashes in a large lake that has lots of fish. There will be no other services.
