John Lewis Williams, 43, of Midland, Texas, returned to his Heavenly home and Family on November 13, 2013.John came into this world on August 24, 1970 and was adopted by his loving parents, Jarvel Freeman Williams and the late Minnie Opal Freeman outside of Phoenix, Arizona only two days after his birth. He had two siblings, Les and Laura Williams. John graduated from Greenwood High School in 1989 and was a dedicated member of the debate team and worked most of his time in high school. He attended Midland College and became a licensed massage therapist.As a self-proclaimed “serial hobbyist”, his interests included baking, flying, shooting, traveling, working out, playing guitar, dancing with his beloved Machelle and reading to his daughter, Hunter.Throughout his career and many interests, John met and befriended a wide circle of people. He considered them his fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters; his family.John is survived by his wife, Machelle, his daughter, Hunter, his father, Jarvel of Brownwood, Texas, his brother and sister-in-law, Leslie and Lisa Williams of Midland, Texas, and his sister, Laura. He has left behind a vast family, which included the families of his daughter, as well as of his wife.Faith was the center of John’s life and his love for the Lord was unwavering. He was a member of Mid Cities Community Church, Midland, Texas.The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Mid Cities Community Church. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 18, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.Donations may be made at Bank of America in the name of Machelle Williams.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
