John L. Meads, 52, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in a Lubbock hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Byron Brown, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.He was born on March 6, 1954, in Anson, Texas and married Sharon Brumley on April 12, 2001 in Big Spring, Texas.John grew up in the Luther Community and attended school in Big Spring. He had worked for Hester's Mechanical as an installation supervisor. He had lived in Big Spring most of his life. He liked playing pool and dominos. John loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a Baptist.Survivors include his wife, Sharon Meads of Big Spring; one daughter, Jacy Meads of Georgetown; two stepdaughters, Laurie Burton and husband, Tim, and Stacey Coker all of Big Spring; his mother and stepfather, Dean and Bill Baker of Big Spring; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Diane Meads of Big Spring, two step brothers and wives, Mike and Barbara Baker of Jacksonville, Florida, and Darrell and Stephanie Baker of Mesquite; one stepsister and husband, Pam and Tommy Duncan of Big Spring; one grandson, Cason; six stepgrandchildren Austin, Anastasia, Kaylee, Jeremy, Courtney, and Shelbi; a special uncle, Fred Moore; and numerous other uncles, aunts, neices, nephews and cousins.
