John Gabriel Chavez, 30, of Midland, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the funeral home.John was born July 11, 1980 in Midland to Laura (Gomez) and Juan Chavez. He grew up and lived in Midland all of his life. He married Robyn Roberts on February 3, 2003.Survivors include wife Robyn of Midland; father Johnnie Chavez of Midland; brother Mark Chavez of Midland; sons, Mario Andres Chavez of Katy, TX and Isaac Ross of Midland; daughters, Rakeal Lynn Chavez, Alexis Marie Chavez and Brittney Kaye Moorer, all of Midland; sister-in-law Veronica Chavez of Midland; and his only nephew Damyen Edward Chavez of Midland.He was preceded in death by his mother Laura Chavez.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
