JOHN EDWARD INFANTE (1944-2011)John Edward Infante chosen of God, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on 7-27-11. He was surrounded by his family at home. He was born to Saints Infante Sr. and Annie Espinoza on January 4, 1944 in Long Beach, California. John served in the United States Air Force between 1961 and 1965, spending a year of his service in Viet Nam, and earning an honorable discharge. John moved to Midland, Texas in 1988 where he later received a BA in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. John was an Adult Probation Officer for the Community Supervision & Corrections Department in Midland for 15 years and retired on February 28, 2011. In addition, he was an adjunct instructor at Midland College. John was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a man of conviction, integrity, and a pillar to the family who loved and adored him. He held his friends and co-workers in high esteem and always championed the underdog, both in his private life and as a probation officer. John was known for lighting up any room he walked into with his gregarious personality and for treating everyone he encountered without pretense. Although John is no longer with us, he continues to live in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cynthia K. Infante; seven children, daughters Synthia, husband Leo, Elaine Mercado, husband Steven, Valerie Delgado, Monique Moose, husband Cory; sons, John Infante Jr, wife Rhonda, Larry A. Garcia, wife Vanessa, Saints Infante Jr. and 20 grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
