Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Joe was born on August 7, 1950 in Stanton, to Luis and Lala Galan. Joe married Josephine Barela in 1971. He owned his own business and worked as a Printer. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys but the highlight of his life was his wife and his six grandchildren that called him Granpa.He is survived by his wife, Josephine Galan; children, Gina Madrid and husband, Marty; Joe Galan Jr.,; Don Galan and wife, Jessica; six grandchildren, Ellie Mae, Steven, J.D., Diego, Makayla, and Larissa; one great-grandchild, Samantha; five brothers, Luis, Chon, Mack, Liberato, and Cleofas Galan; three sisters, Angelina Veloz, Felis Guerrero and Mary Martinez.He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Pablo and Felipe Galan.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to the University of Texas Transplant Center, 4502 Medical Dr., MS18-1, San Antonio, TX, 78229.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
