Joe E. Ward

Joe Edward Ward went home to be with his Lord on Monday, November 28, 2005 at his home in San Angelo with his beloved wife, Sandra, and family by his side. He had fought a long, hard battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 1, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, Big Spring with Chaplain Donald Moon of Hospice of San Angelo, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Joe was born on August 18, 1948, in Colorado City, Texas to J. B. and Verda Lee Ward. He married Linda Sue Holmes and she preceded him in death. He then married Sandra Harvell on February 25, 1994.Joe had worked in Big Spring all his life as a pole digger for Caldwell Electric and A&B Electric Company. He had many friends wherever he went and was loved by all who knew him. He had a kind word for everyone. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Big Spring.Survivors include his wife, Sandra Ward of San Angelo; two sons, Terry Ward and wife, Rachael of San Angelo and Rusty Ward of Dallas; two step sons, David Harvell and Cody Ward both of San Angelo; a step daughter, Toni Farris and husband, James of Prescott, Arizona; the "Light of His Life" his grandson, Joseph Farris of Prescott, Arizona; his brother, Billy Ward of Big Spring; his step mother, Wanda Ward of Evansville, Indiana; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, mother-in-law and many, many friends.He was also preceded in death by his father and mother. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Joe's memory to the Hospice of San Angelo, P.O.
