A GIVER, in every sense of the word, has passed away. Jodie Lynn Edge-Tindall of Midland, Texas succumbed after a long fight with an undiagnosed brain disorder on March 24, 2026. Jodie’s journey through her short life was replete with many successful aspects in her personal life, educational achievements, social integration, career development, and a passion for competition and giving.
A middle child, Jodie was born to her mother, Sanda Edge of Midland, and her father, Rodger L. Edge (deceased), in Andrews, Texas on January 11, 1966. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Edge (Houston), and her sister, Mardie Judge and husband Kevin (Lubbock); niece Kaitlyn Wilson and husband Josh, and grandniece Emery Wilson (Lubbock); nephews Keenan Judge and wife Roury (Dallas); and Charles Mason Edge-Rucker (Houston).
Jodie married Dr. Tyler Tindall (Midland) in 1992 on a beach in the Dominican Republic and spent most of her adult life being a wife, co-worker, partner, friend, confidant, and travel companion — as well as being her husband’s “Favorite Person in the world.”
Graduating from Midland High School, she enjoyed competitive sports including All-Star softball, band competition (marching in the Rose Bowl Parade), and, as an adult, playing indoor soccer. She also became a remarkably successful online fantasy football player.
Upon completion of her secondary education, she worked in restaurants and business offices. She attended A&M University and later returned to Midland, where she completed her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiography at Midland College.
She worked at Midland Memorial Hospital for thirty years in Radiology, CT scan, and MRI. Serving as Adjunct Faculty, Jodie also taught Radiology classes at Midland College.
Jodie Edge-Tindal’s most endearing qualities were her extremely generous attitude and her personality traits of creativity and independence. All who knew Jodie liked and loved her generous nature. Whether she was functioning as a friend, classmate, technician, social host, team player, daughter, sister, aunt, relative, or even medical patient, all would attest to Jodie’s desire to never give up and to do everything herself. Though her time here was far too short, the impact of her generosity, her stubborn streak, and her unforgettable smile will stay with everyone whose life she touched.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Branch @ npw with a reception following the service.
