Timothy left a message on March 3, 2023:
I am saddened by just learning here in 2023 that Joanna passed in 2010. I knew her when she live in Santa Monica and worked at Cedar's. She was a wonderful friend and an amazing basketball player. I cherish the memories of time with her. I remember when we went to an open gym and played 5 on 5 full court. She was the only female on the court and matched all the guys, step for step, shot for shot. I've remembered through the years how she was a knowledgeable professional and carried herself with dignity and grace. There's a special place in my heart for Joanna. I was blessed to know her. Timothy

I am shocked and saddened to find Joanna listed here. I graduated from Howard College Nursing School with her. She was a wonderful, fun person to go through that tough time with. I'm sorry I lost touch with her through the years. My prayers go out to her family.
