Jo Ann Nagy McNabbMay 15, 1931-December 30, 2012Jo Ann Nagy McNabb, 81, of Midland, and previously of Corsicana, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at her residence in Midland, Texas.Jo Ann was born May15, 1931, in Navarro County, and was a resident of Navarro County most of her life. She attended Pettys Chapel Schools and graduated from Corsicana High School. She then attended Navarro College. On October 16, 1948, she married Bronnie Frank McNabb in Corsicana. Jo Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister. Jo Anns generosity, graciousness, and wisdom touched so many lives, and her magnetic personality will be truly missed by all who knew her.Jo Ann was an active and devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Corsicana, serving as Director of Median Adult Sunday School for many years. Jo Ann attended First Baptist Church of Midland since 2007, and was a member of the Stephens Department.Mrs. McNabb was preceded in death by husband, Bronnie Frank McNabb; son Bronnie Frank McNabb, Jr.; son-in-law, Kenneth Graf; parents, Joe Nagy and Helen Toth Nagy; paternal grandparents, Steve and Johanna Nagy; and maternal grandparents, John and Annie Toth. She was also preceded in death by her husbands parents, Homer E. McNabb and Edna Lewis McNabb.Jo Ann is survived by a daughter, Nancy Ann McNabb Graf of Vernon, Texas; daughter-in-law, Anna Beth Simmons McNabb of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Margaret Anna McNabb of Charlotte, North Carolina, James Madison McNabb of Raleigh, North Carolina, John Kenneth Graf and wife Cristen; great granddaughter, Kenleigh Elizabeth of Plano, Texas, Christopher McNabb Graf and wife Katie of Houston; brother, Joe R. Nagy and wife Lou Arnett Nagy; sister, Linda Stephens and husband Autry C. Stephens of Midland; nieces and nephews, Paula Thompson, Patti Hill, Lia Buchanan, Joe Stephens, and Lyndal Greth. Also surviving is her brother-in-law, Billy James McNabb of Corsicana and niece Pat Haba.Memorial contributions may be made to the Bronnie F. McNabb, Jr. Theological Library Collection at First United Methodist Church, Clarendon, Texas, or to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, Midland, Texas, or the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church, Corsicana, Texas or to a charity of ones choice. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, from 5:00-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland, Texas.
